I have a question for my friends...

I have seen many crafters give up on selling their handmade items because the cost and time associated with creating things is more than most people are willing to pay.

I can understand this dilemms, but I am curious and would like your feedback. Is "handmade" worth more than the big businesses versions of the same items, for example- a quilt. Are you willing to pay more for a handmade quilt with mistakes and uneven seams, compared to cheaper quality fabrics and construction but straighter seams, but also cheaper overall cost?

What are your thoughts on this? Is handmade more valuable?
